Roberts McKeown is an independent valuation and property advisory company in Auckland. The company was founded in 1998 by the two directors, Alan Roberts and Keith McKeown and now employs four registered valuers. The company has offices in central Auckland and covers the wider Auckland metropolitan area.
All valuers employed by Roberts McKeown are Senior Members of the profession and all holding annual practicing certificates. Our experience is extensive covering commercial, industrial and residential sectors with specialists operating in various fields. Our range of client includes both public and privately owned companies, central and local government as well as private individuals.
The type of work undertaken by the firm not only includes market valuations and rental assessments, but also litigation work, arbitration proceedings and compensation valuations.

Keith is a Valuer with over 25 years valuation experience. He holds a Diploma in Valuation and Diploma in Business Finance, both from Auckland University. Keith was granted Associate status to the NZIV in 1986.
Keith has gained considerable experience in valuation specialising in the South Eastern and Southern suburbs of Auckland including both commercial and industrial property. He has an interest in the low cost housing market and has been retained by Housing New Zealand Corporation for over 22 years. Keith also has an interest in the application of advanced financial modelling to valuation and has presented papers on this subject at NZIV seminars. Keith is an experienced expert witness and arbitrator.
Keith is a past member of the New Zealand Property Institute Auckland branch committee.
Alan is a Registered Valuer with over 27 years valuation experience and is a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Valuers and a Fellow of the Property Institute of New Zealand.
Alan has a broad range of valuation experience, including residential and commercial valuations, although his speciality work includes Public Works Act compensation valuations, covering all classes of property. Alan is an experienced expert witness and arbitrator and is currently a member of the New Zealand Institute of Valuers Auckland Branch Committee.
Richard joined Roberts McKeown in 2010 after some 20 years in private practice, two of which were as a partner of Blincoe Yarnton Swan Limited and 10 years as an Associate Valuer at Barratt Boyes Jefferies Limited.
Richard was a registered as a valuer in 1982. He is experienced in all facets of commercial, industrial and residential property valuation and undertakes valuations on Great Barrier Island. He is studying towards a Bachelor of Architecture degree on a part time basis.
